Happy 5th Birthday
Happy 5th Birthday Bop
A little about Bop.He is a builder. It doesn't matter if he is playing with cars, trains, or even coloring, He is building with those items, or drawing what he is going to build.
At least several times a week he builds a house, fort, tent, club house, apartment, or something along those lines. He grabs items through out the house, (blankets, pillows, boxes, boards, ladders, basically anything he can find) picks a room and just starts building. When he is finished, he takes every one on a tour. He shows you, your room, the kitchen, the bathroom, the basement, and so on.
Bop is a cleaner.Bop actually cleans for fun. No, I am not kidding. He has his set jobs of silverware, cleaning the stairs, and keeping his room cleaned. I make him do those before he gets to clean other stuff, but most of the time, he finishes those jobs and then has a list of other things he wants to do. He loves to clean the walls, the bathrooms, vacuum, clean the kitchen counters, etc. I really could keep going on and on about how much he enjoys cleaning.
He is a loving kid and a goof ball rolled up into oneHe loves to give people affection, (a kiss or hug) and then tickle them.
He will randomly tell me " I love you mom," and while I am thinking how sweet he is he will add " your a crazy nut, ha ha ha ha"
He is a Negotiator. If you give him an option between A and B, I guarantee he can find a way to make both work.
I told him he could choose between having money go to a bunk bed, or money go towards a birthday party with friends. His answer to me. "I want the bunk bed, then I will just invite my friends over to play on it"
I will tell him he can have one treat, a kitkat or cookies at the store. He says "I'll take the kitkat" then he will go over and tell Burner, " You get the cookies, and we can share"
His bed time is at 8, but if he takes a nap then he gets to watch a movie in bed. His solution to not taking a nap, but getting the movie is just to go to bed at 7 then he gets to watch a movie in bed.
Those are just a few of the wonderful things that make Bop so special to us. We love you so much Bop, and we are so happy to have you in our family.

St George... again.
My Dad called me Wednesday morning to let me know he was headed to St. George for work, and the boys and I were welcome to come. Of course we went, and we dragged Bop's best friend and cousin "Orange" along with us.
We had a blast. Here are some of the highlights.

We Went to a new park, that everyone loved.
These chairs are ones you sit in and spin real fast
Burner, and Orange liked to explore
Right before we left the park I captured this picture of Bampa and 3 of his 5 grandsons.
Before we headed back home, we decided to take a quick trip to the red rocks and have a picnic, then climb a little. Poor Bampa was in his dress cloths from his meetings, but he was a good sport and climbed right along with us.

Orange kept doing silly smiles when I asked him to smile, so I said, do the smile you do when you see your mommy, and he puckered up. I thought it was so cute.

After climbing the rock wall at the park, Bop REALLY BADLY wanted to climb the natural rock walls here. I told him we would have to wait until Uncle G could come down with some climbing equipment and help him out.

We stayed in a hotel, the boys all wanted to sleep on the chairs instead of the beds. Burner won the chairs the first night, and Bop and Orange wanted to share the second night (Orange changed his mind and slept next to Bampa)

Normally we stay with these 2 goof balls, and their kids.

Here they are at the top of a big rock looking out at the view of St. George.

We "Heart" Aunt Piggy
We all love living with Aunt Piggy.
So we decided to make her a cake.
Burner helped me mix it.

he helped me taste it
(we didn't want to give her a gross cake)

But I frosted it.
Since her nickname is Aunt Piggy, of course we made a...

Erosion Table
The kids love to play at the erosion table ( at The Dinosaur Museum)

Bop and "Orange" will spend the whole time pushing the sand around and forcing the water to flow the way they want it to go.

Burner puts his hands in the sand...

.. then runs and washes his hands...

...then drys them, and then starts all over again.

I know the kids love to play at the table, but I think Uncle W likes it more.

Thanksgiving Point
Since the day we moved back, I have been saving up my pennies to buy a Thanksgiving Point pass. We had one when we lived here before, and we used it all the time.
We recently got the pass and used it to go to the Dinosaur Museum.
We were so excited to see that they had a new section of the museum with hands on fun for kids. They have several things to do there. You can blow paper up to the ceiling with big fans, you can play with magnets, build with blocks, learn fun dance moves, and so much more.

One of the kids favorites was using the "word building blocks" to build, everything but the sentences they were intended for. I think they liked it so much because they got to reach into a giant sphere to pick them out .

This was my favorite exhibit, it was little tiny (sand size) magnets that you could stick to metal and build a bridge.
