Family Get Together

A few weekends back, we had a family get together with Dad's family.

The adults all got to go see a play ( I saw The Sound of Music)

The kids got to....

swim,

swim some more,

play in the hotel room,

and eat yummy ice cream.

We are hanging out at Thanksgiving Point with Dad today. It's nice to be home from our vacatins. Hopefully I will have time to post pics from Idaho and Vegas soon.

Remember that fun game you played when yoy were young. The one that you pretend the vacuum is trying to eat you, so you run away from it. Well playing it with a lawn mower is a lot more fun.

Grandma and Grandpa's House.

We are having so much fun with grandma and grandpa this week. We will be here another week, then I can post a lot of pictures of everything we have done.

Timp Cave

The other week we headed up the mountain to Timpanogos Cave.
I have been waiting to post about it because, Aunt Pig has some of the better pics on her camera. I keep forgetting to get them from her, so I am just going to show you the pictures I have.
Bop loved the view, and wanted a picture of it.
I asked him to stand in the picture, but he was to scared to get near the edge.


The squirrels were very active and would come right up and nip at your hand

Bop was a trooper and hiked the whole way by himself.
Burner got carried the whole way, and still feel asleep.

4th of July Weekend (part 2)

Celebrating with Dad's Family.

We headed to a park for a BBQ

Bop insisted on me making a watermelon cake.

The kids played games with Grandma and Grandpa Far Away



Bop and Burner raced around on their bike and scooter.

Burner had fun climbing a tree



Bop, of course, had to climb the tree also.

After all that fun, Bop, Burner and their cousins took a small nap with Grandpa.

4th of July Weekend (part 1)

We had some friends over to celebrate the 4th of July.
We had a fire pit to roast marshmallows.

I made this really cute (and yummy cake)

And we did a few small fireworks.

Cousins from NC

Recently we had Bop and Burner's cousins from North Carolina visiting. We did a lot of fun things while they were here. One of them was we headed up the canons for a picnic.

Burner loved throwing rocks in the river

Bampa loved throwing rocks at me.

After a little snack and some rock throwing we hiked a little further and went to Bridal Veil Falls

The water up there is freezing, but Burner still loved it.

Bop and his cousins tried to get across with out having to touch the water.

Bampa and Uncle S took the older kids up a ways. They turned back when the kids were to scared to go on.

Burner sat at the bottom of the Falls, with his lower lip poking out. He kept telling me "Bampa fo'got me". It was really sad so Bampa took a special trip up the falls with just Burner.

In the end, everyone had a good time!

A QUICK Trip to a Museum

Last weekend we were near Hill Air Force Base, so we stopped by the museum and checked it out. We got there at 4:10 only to find out the museum closes at 4:30. We ran through it real quick and saw a few things.

Bop is really into Pirates right now this week, so this was his favorite airplane.

but his very favorite part was these swords.
