Sickies

Mom, Bop, and Burner have all been sick with the flu this week.

I got sick Tuesday, now I wake up every day feeling good and decide the sickness has passed, but by 10:00 I realize I am still sick.

Bop got sick Wednesday, he is usually fine during the day, and only sick at night. ( When mom is trying to sleep )

Burner started it all, he got sick Monday. Most the time you wouldn't know he is sick, he runs around and plays for a few hours then starts acting sick for 30 minutes, then he's fine for a few hours again.

GHOST HUNTERS

Anyone, and every one who really knows me, knows that I have a ghost in my house.

We have weird things happen all the time.
We hear footsteps.
We have knocking in the walls.
We have door slam shut.

The adults in the house, think of it as a joke and always say " Oh its just the ghost". The 2 kids in the house, however are scared of the unexplained noises. (Yes they hear them too! We oldies aren't going crazy)

After one particular noisy day, Bop and Burner were terrified to go upstairs, so Bampa convinced them it was probably just an animal in the attic and let them go upstairs to check it out.

Burner was already to go, he ran up the ladder before Bampa could



Looking back, I should have made Bop put his shirt on for the pic, to late now.

They never found anything, but it did help them to have something cool to talk about (the attic) instead of thinking about the noises.

Bunk Beds

Bop has been asking for bunk beds for a little over a year now.
I would love to get him bunk beds,
but it will probably never happen if his Dad see's this video, and finds out what Bop taught Burner to do this last weekend.



Some one please explain to me, how it is that my 2 year old has never broke a bone, and has only had stitches once.

St George part 2

We have so much fun ever time we visit St. George.
We lived there for about 18 months ( a record for us) and made good friends that we miss so much.

Here are a few of my favorite pics from the trip.

Ryan and Burner were playing in the bathtub and I said, "Oh stay there so I can get a picture of you" when I came back, Jess had jumped in also. I guess she really wanted to be a part of the pic.

Bop, and Cassie were sliding down the slide together holding hands. I snapped the picture a little late to see the hand holding part.

I think Bop likes St. George because he has his pick of the girls down there.

I love this picture for 2 reasons.
1. Burner is pulling Rozalynn towards him. Its like he is telling Ryan "Shes mine buddy"
2. These babies were born just weeks apart from each other. It reminds me of when the mommies were all pregnant together.

These next pics, are all pretty much the same. I put the kids on the bed and then would yell out what I wanted them to do. They all did pretty good at fallowing directions.

St George

I am hanging out with some of the  old gang and having a blast doing it.

I told the boys they had to wear a coat,  hat,  and shoes outside.   I guess I forgot to mention pants

Burner in the dryer. Every kid does it at least once!

More Spinning

This Blog kind of goes with yesterdays.

Burner also loves to spin around, he can't handle it the way Bop does though. I learned that when you spin around, it takes a while for your eyes to find a place to focus on. Until they find the place to focus, they roll back and forth, looking a lot like a typewriter. (Remember those?)

Bop's Talent

Bop has this weird talent where it takes A LOT to get dizzy.
During Christmas we put him to the test to see how long he could spin in a chair, before he got so dizzy he couldn't walk straight. We started out counting to ten each time, then letting him walk.

Just counting to 10 wasn't working, so in the end we just spun him like crazy. He did about an hours worth of spinning, before he started falling down more then walking.

( When watching this video, he falls out of the chair, because he is being silly. Keep watching, he stands up and walks just fine)

PS please excuse the naked boy, he isn't mine!

For those of you who don't know, Bops full nickname is Spinny Bop. It has been this since he was just an infant, who knew his nick name would be so fitting as he got older.

Bop LOVES spaghetti. I just don't know if he likes it because of the taste, or if it is because I let him take his shirt off to eat it.

3 of a kind

The boys wanted to all dress alike today.

Sleep overs galore!

Aunt K.  has been sentenced to bed rest because she has a high risk pregnancy. She has to stay in bed for at least 1 week (probably longer) . Bop's best friend and cousin  "Orange" gets to spend most of that time with us.

Dad had 2 days off so we went up north to visit his family.

It is sad, but true that this is the best picture we could get of all 4 kids together. How do you people do it that have 6 kids?

Making ice cream

We got an ice cream ball for Christmas, so Bop has been asking to make ice cream everyday since then. He and Burner got bored rolling it by hand so they came up with fun new ways of doing it, like rolling it by foot!

Home again

It was a long drive but we made it home at 11:53 last night. I had just enough time to bring the kids up to bed, then I ran in and gave my husband a kiss right at midnight, then I crashed and fell asleep.
